Android Studioで、Android プロジェクトを作成し、バーチャルマシンを起動するとエラーになった。

 emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration!
 Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable.
 CPU acceleration status: HAX is not installed on this machine (/dev/HAX is missing).

インテルのサイトにいってHAXMというアプリをインストールしろということらしいということで、行くことにした。

いくつか手順を示されているが結局のところ、Zipをダウンロードしてインストールする手順でインストール。無事にエミュレータが起動するようになりました。
